Adrian, Michigan - Today, a select group of the men's track and field team traveled to the O'Laughlin Stadium for the Don Kleinhow Invitational. At the conclusion of today's events, two Saints head back to Grand Rapids, with two top five marks in AQ history.

In the prelims of the 100 Meter Dash
Nate White advanced to the finals with a qualifiying time of 10.78. He would enter the finals fourth overall but more importantly finished with the fifth fastest time in AQ history. He ties
Lawrence Young's time from 2022. After advancing to finals, White finished third with a time of 10.86.
Cyrus Prudhomme (11.03), Yussuf Adullahi (11.14), and
Chris Jandernoa (11.36) would all compete in the prelims. These four men would join forces in the 4x100 Relay and finish second running a time of 41.90.

The in the 110 Hurdles,
Jake Van Tassell would advance to finals behind a time of 15.48. In the final, Van Tassell would cross the line at 14.91 and now rank fourth in AQ history. He jumps Andy Thelen's (2001) time of 15.01 and Doug Filmore's time of 15.04, dating back to 1975. He would also finish second in the 400 Hurdles with a 54.92.

Continuing in the sprints,
Cyrus Prudhomme was AQ's highest finisher in the 200 dash placing eighth. He did so behind a 22.38.

In the Saints' first steeplechase venture of 2023, AQ had two athletes in action.
Christian Martinez-Ramos came across the line first at 10:24 and was followed by
Brian Langlois at 10:27. The pair took third and fifth.

In the longest event in track and field,
Carson Lafferty finished the 10,000-meter race in 33:13. This time placed him fourth overall.

Finally in the men's hammer throw,
Brendan Madej was .07 meters behind his event PR. He took 23rd with 29.20 meters.

AQ has plenty of action left this weekend, with many of their distance athletes competing at the second day of the Bison Outdoor Classic. The Bucknell hosted meet goes down in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania throughout the day.
