Men's Track and Field Add Three Outdoor All Time Marks at Double Meet Weekend

The men's track and field team competed at two meets in West Michigan on Saturday April 29. First the men's team competed throughout the day at the Davenport Tune-up placing on the podium in multiple events. Then in the evening, the Saints competed at the GVSU Extra Weekend Meet earning multiple personal bests. AQ would walk away with two provisional qualifiers and three all-time top five marks.

Isaiah Jackson holds the school record at 14.77 after setting the school record last year. Van Tassell then took second place in the 400 Hurdles running 54.35. He sits fourth in Aquinas history.

In the regular 400 Meter dash, Jacob Tenbusch finished first for AQ taking third at 50.16, Cyrus Prudhomme was next in the event for AQ, when placing tenth. He ran 51.23.

Nate White continued his dominance in the short sprint of 100 Meters. He took second place with a 10.82, nearly a personal best.

In the field events, the Saints highest finisher was John Van Til. Van Til threw the discus 46.35 meters to take second.

GVSU Extra-Weekend Meet

An All-Time AQ mark happened in the 1500-meter race by Ben Hardy. He took 16th running 3:54. This new personal best places him third in Aquinas history while also achieving a provisional qualifier. He was joined by Rob Lohr (3:59) and Connor Clemens (4:12) in the event.

The Saint heavy 5K had four out five athletes record personal records. Ethan Barker finished first for AQ at 14:58. Edward Frey (15:13), Andrew Ireland (15:19), and Jonah Maichele (15:35) all bested their previous record. Connor Callahan also competed in the event running 15:24.
