NAIA Release

Kansas City, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released its first Coaches' Top Ten poll of the season this morning (Jan. 24). After finishing last season ranked No. 9, Aquinas will begin this season ranked No. 10 in the country. This news comes just one day after AQ was slated to finish No. 4 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.

Fellow WHAC school and defending national champions, Lawrence Tech, have been tabbed as the top-ranked team heading into the 2024 season with 119 total points and eight of the ten first-place votes. SCAD Savannah (112), Keiser (102), Cumberlands (92), and Life (90) are currently ranked as the remaining top five teams in the preseason poll. Both Keiser and Reinhardt, who is ranked sixth, received one first-place vote.

The Saints will be faced with a tough schedule ahead of themselves in 2024. Aquinas has matchups against the top-ranked Lawrence Tech Blue Devils, No. 3-ranked Keiser, and No. 9-ranked Marian. AQ's gauntlet also includes two receiving votes teams in Indiana Tech and St. Thomas.

AQ's season starts in just a couple of weeks as they travel up to Marquette, Michigan to take on NCAA DII Northern Michigan University on February 10th.
