St. Louis, Mo. — The Aquinas cheer team started their season with a road trip down to Saint Louis, Missouri, for a competition today(Jan. 27). Where the Saints took part in the Spartan Showcase. AQ landed their performance with a score of 75.05 to put them in front of Williams Baptist (66.57).

The cheer team began their season with a fair showing in Missouri. AQ received scores of 76.50, 76.30, and 76.10 but due to deductions ended with a 75.05.

The Spartan Showdown represented strong talent. Taking first was host Missouri Baptist with an impressive finish of 89.90. Followed by Indiana Wesleyan (88.57), and Marian (86.07).

Interim Coach Harley Sholl had this to say about today's competition, "I am very happy with how the team performed today! I think this is a great start to the season, and I am excited to see where this season will takes us"!
