Grand Rapids, Mich. — The No. 4-rated Aquinas women's soccer team took to the AQ Athletic Field on Wednesday (Oct. 23) with conference opponent Concordia. The Saints started the contest strongly and swiftly and controlled the game from that point on. The Cardinals only managed a few short breaks, but nothing to contest with AQ. At the final whistle, Aquinas had added another tally to their undefeated streak with a 9-0 win.

The Saints began the action quickly off the opening kick as
Madison Slezinski collected the first goal in the fourth minute of the match, with a pass from
Marie-Louise Abild.
AQ went on to put up four more goals in the first half.
Maeva Lichtensteiger struck at the start of the 12th minute with a touch from Abild. Lichtensteiger returned to the game sheet eight minutes later as this time she would score on a pass from
Emily Gignac.
In the 33rd minute, Gignac added another point tally with a goal, assisted by
Savannah Reese.
The 40th minute saw
Abigail Kramer net a goal with a quick touch from
Ivanna Perez.
The remainder of the half saw AQ continue their push, but unable to find another first half goal.
The team returned to the shooting gallery as they maintained their hold on the contest.
Abild found her own goal at the start of the 56th minute with an assist from Slezinski.
Kennedy Thelen was quick to draw as she entered the pitch, as she struck in a goal at 73:13. With Perez on the assist.
Thelen then bounced back in and tapped in another goal less than three minutes later, this time assisted by
Maeve Comfort.
The last goal of the evening was by
Bella Teelander as she let one loose at the start of the 81st.
No goal would be found for the remainder of the second half.
The final whistle brought the game to a close with a scoreline of 9-0.
