Grand Rapids, Mich. — The Aquinas College Rocket League team returned to the electric pitch on Monday (Oct. 7) with a 7:00 p.m. kickoff with the Blue Devils of Lawrence Tech. The best of five saw a trading of games in the first two bouts, but AQ managed to seal the deal with games three and four. Winning out the night with a 3-1 finish.
The Saints once again found themselves on the tight rope as they faced off with the Blue Devils. With swift acts and clever tactics, the team managed to out last the opposition with a 4-3 finish at the end of the first game.
The tight rope act continued in the second, but AQ had a misstep and were just out done by LTU with a 3-2 finish and bringing the nights action to a 1-1 standing.
This game two loss led to reflection by Aquinas as the Saints turned around and regained their balance. AQ took game three with another 4-3 decision.
Aquinas kept light on their feet as they maintained their tight rope with another 4-3 finish in game four, bringing the Saints their victory over LTU.
