The first quarter had a slow start for both teams, but AQ managed to find traction as the Saints doubled RCU's score at the conclusion of the first leading 12-6.

Aquinas's traction turned to steam as the Saints began to set the tone. This time AQ began to pile it on as they sunk 20 points into this quarter while only allowing the Warriors four. Entering halftime Aquinas had widened their advantage to 32-10.

RCU came to life in the third quarter and began to match the tone of AQ. Here the contest saw both teams collect respect runs back-and-forth. The most one team managed for a run was two baskets.
