Cooper Nienhuis garnered his second consecutive WHAC Offensive Player of the Week award.
Nienhuis' incredible start to the season continued this past Saturday (Mar. 23) against Lourdes. Nienhuis scored eight goals and assisted three more for 11 points on the day. His eight goals and 11 points both fell just two short of the respective all-time records.
On the season, the freshman from West Ottawa has 27 goals and four assists through just five games. Nienhuis is ranked 14th in the nation for goals and 27th for points. More impressively, he is averaging 5.4 goals per game – a mark that ranks number one in the NAIA.
Nienhuis has been a massive contributor to AQ's 5-0 start to the season. This is currently the first time in program history that the Saints have started a season 5-0.
