Southfield, Mich. — The Aquinas College women's lacrosse team played their final away game this Wednesday (Apr. 10) against the defending national champions and current No. 3-ranked Lawrence Tech Blue Devils. LTU struck first and continued to hammer the Aquinas defense. AQ managed to out-do the Blue Devils on several occassions, but not enough to pull an upset. At the horn the Blue Devils were victorious with an 18-6 difference.

LTU started off the opening quickly as their first goal was landed one minute into the contest, two more followed within two minutes.
Trinity Reynoso notched the AQ response with a pass from
Alex Sullivan to put the Saints on the board 3-1.
The action continued as both teams followed through with a goal each within a minute of Aquinas' first.
Brianna Trepins stamped in the second with an assist from
Kennadie Minerich at 10:39.
The remaining time was all Blue Devils as they held back the Aquinas offense and put up four more goals. Extending the difference to 9-2.
The second saw LTU strike the match first. But Minerich found an sliver in the defense and sunk one home for another goal.
LTU once again took control and were the only ones to score for the remainder, pushing to 13-3.
Both the third and fourth quarters saw the Blue Devils hold the conditioning as Aquinas only collected three more goals in the two quarters, while LTU saw five. Minrich tallied one goal in both the quarters, and Reynoso tagged up one last goal with help from
Shaylin Rings.
At the final horn the Blue Devils take down the Saints 18-6.

AQ had 16 shots to LTU's 39.
The Saints found 19 ground balls to the Blue Devils 29.
Aquinas managed 9 draw controls to LTU's 15.

Aquinas will complete their regular season with a Senior Day home game on Saturday (Apr. 13) with an 11:00 a.m. start against Siena Heights. The Senior Day ceremony will take place prior to the contest start.
