Grand Rapids, Mich. – The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference announced its all-conference teams for the 2024 baseball season this evening (Apr. 30). Ramsey Bousseau, Conor Gausselin, and Mason Hill were recognized for their great seasons on the All-WHAC Second Team.

Freshman sensation Bousseau is coming off the heels of breaking four different single-game records this past weekend (Apr. 26). The Olivet graduate hit three home runs, including two grand slams, for 12 total bases and 10 RBIs – all of which are single-game records.

So far this season, Bousseau is batting .365 with a team-high 61 hits, ranking him seventh in the WHAC. The speedster has a total of 21 extra-base hits, which features 11 doubles and seven triples, the most in the conference. When he has been on base, Bousseau has been a menace on the base paths, stealing 27 bases, a mark that ranks fifth in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.

Gausselin made a return to the All-Conference Second Team after making his first appearance last season. The senior pitcher posted a 6-4 record on 12 appearances with a 2.54 ERA, the second-best ERA in the conference. His 2.54 ERA is the lowest of his career and has been lethal when paired with his 63 strikeouts (10.01 K/9). Gausselin ranks top 10 in the conference in games started, strikeouts, K/9, ERA, and WHIP.

After recording the most appearances in Aquinas baseball history, Hill has now been named to an all-conference team for the first time in his career. The bullpen arm finished the 2024 regular season with an incredible 1.49 ERA on 21 appearances. He had an outrageous strikeout percentage, recording 48 punchouts over 36.1 innings pitched for 12 strikeouts per nine innings. He has been the guy Aquinas has turned to when they need scoreless innings as he has allowed just a .163 batting average.

A total of 24 Saints on the baseball team earned WHAC All-Academic status, which is achieved if the student-athlete is a sophomore or above in academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher. In addition, the student-athlete must have been at Aquinas for at least one full year.

AQ's All-Academic honorees are (in alphabetical order by last name): Blake Bennett, Mark Binkowski, Eric Bryce, Austin Deller, Kaden Edwards, Jayden Fuelling, Gausselin, JD Gillies, Ryan Gillings, Zachary Hayes, Hill, Tristan Hysell, Chase Ingersoll, Mark Kalahar, Zach Marshall, Grant Martin, Sean Page, Aidan Schmuckal, Dawson Shearer, Jayden Timmer, Calvin Tkaczyk, Nicolas Verdugo, and Tyler Zomerlei.

Marshall was also AQ's representative on the Champions of Character team. This athlete is identified by his respective coach as the player who best represents the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
