Augusta, Mich. — The Aquinas College golf teams both competed in their own tournaments this past weekend (Apr. 5 & 6) down in Augusta, Michigan, as both contests were hosted by Lawrence Tech. The men completed their showing with an eighth out of 10, while the women soaked up third out of five. Aquinas had two men finish top six and one woman finish fifth with strong showings this past weekend.

John Konya had to say about this weekends performance, "I'm really happy for Dom! He's put in a lot of work over the past few months, after kind of a tough fall. He was very driven to come back this spring a better player, and his recent scores are evidence that his hard work is paying off. His 69 today was an outstanding score. Matt and Tony also had solid performances."

Here is what Coach Konya had to say about the ladies performance, "Jayda was awesome today, with an 81, which gave her a Top 5 finish. She had 9's of 39 each day. I moved her up in the order for this event, and she certainly responded" We devoted a lot of practice time to Short Game this week, and it certainly paid off for Jayda"!
