Box Score 2 Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Aquinas Saints volleyball team dominated their match against Concordia, sweeping the competition. Aquinas showcased an impressive attack percentage of .443 and cruised through the series. The Saints continued their dominant play with another 3-0 sweep, this time over St. Francis. AQ's stellar performance improved its record to 14-1. Aquinas will look to build on this momentum as they continue their season.
#12 Aquinas 3, Concordia 0 (25-12, 25-11, 25-10)
Aquinas was off to the races for the first set quickly with a 5-1 advantage thanks to two service aces from Bella Hommes and a pair of kills from Mallory Keller and Samee Teachworth. The Cardinals were able to string some points together tying the match 9-9. Aquinas turned up the heat and went on a seven-point run to put them at a 16-9 lead. Lydia Harper ended the set with two service aces stamping the Saints' first set win with a 25-12 score line.
Aquinas maintained momentum by jumping out to a 6-0 lead with Hommes notching 3 service aces at the beginning of the second. The Saints capitalized on this lead and were able to keep the ball rolling, pulling away to 18-6. Some big-time kills from Lauren Chioini and Angelia Cutts were able to close out this set 25-11.
Entering the third, Concordia was able to put down the first point. They were then quickly met by five straight points from the Saints. Aquinas was fueled up and laid down eight straight points to give them a comfortable lead of 20-8. Three kills from Keller ended this set 25-10.

#12 Aquinas 3, University of St. Francis 0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-12)
Aquinas started the match strong after overcoming an early 6-3 deficit. Keller and Chioini led the offense with key kills, helping the Saints go on an impressive ten-point run. St. Francis was unable to recover from this series and AQ took the set 25-14.
Aquinas continued their dominance in the second set, racing out to a 13-3 lead as a result of another monumental scoring spree. Big time blocks down the stretch kept St. Francis's attacks at bay and earned them a 23-8 lead. USF didn't go down easy and was able to score three points before Aquinas finished this set 25-13.
In the final set, Aquinas closed out the match decisively, winning 25-12. Once again the Saints went unmatched on the offensive line and threw down a five-point run followed by a six-point run extending their lead to 23-10. Aquinas put up a stifling defense limiting any attack by St. Francis as Lee finished off the match with a kill.
