AQ started out on fire as they went on a 11-0 run midway through the first quarter to take an 18-5 lead.  This was highlighted by the defense forcing a shot clock violation followed by Isabel Reemsnyder hitting a long triple, one the next possession, Claire Gregwer answer with a triple of her own and the Saints were rolling.  It was 18-9 AQ at the end of the first.

After a 7-0 Blue Devil run to start the 2nd quarter, Paige Guernsey stopped the bleeding with a defensive board that led to a long triple and putting AQ on top 36-18 at the half.  Coach Brian Morris believes the start was the key to the win.  "We got off to a good start and stayed consistent for much of the game.  In the 4th we were complacent and needed to be better on the glass (rebounds)."

The Saints continued strong to start the second half, back to back possession of a hoop and the harm, first by Guernsey, then by Ashlyn Wilkes put AQ on top 48-30.  Wilkes ended the third with a running jumper to beat the buzzer and up the lead to 51-33 after three.

The Blue Devils were able to chip away in the fourth, cutting it to a ten point game with 4:16 to go.  But Coach Morris and his squad, battled and the Saints hit six straight free throws in the last 82 seconds to seal the win.
