Box Score Bowling Green, OH. — Aquinas stepped into a major early-season challenge on Sunday afternoon, facing a strong NCAA Division I Bowling Green squad on the road and on the second day of a back-to-back. The Saints embraced the opportunity to measure themselves against a nationally respected MAC opponent, staying committed to competing possession by possession. Acting head coach Joel Ledvina once again guided the team with Head Coach Ryan Bertoia still recovering at home, but the focus remained on growth, resilience, and gaining valuable experience against elite competition.
Bowling Green 131, Aquinas 50
Aquinas opened the afternoon with energy, highlighted by early three-pointers from Cameron Moore and Caden Pokorzynski that helped spark the Saints offensively. Jordan Bledsoe continued his steady emergence, finishing with a team-high 11 points on 3-of-4 shooting from deep while also grabbing five rebounds. Pokorzynski added nine points of his own, matching Bledsoe's rebounding total and working hard around the rim on both ends of the floor.
Devon Boyd contributed six points and three assists while knocking down a deep transition three that halted a Bowling Green run. Jacob Howard supplied eight points off the bench, including a pair of threes that gave AQ an offensive lift. David Day battled throughout his 24 minutes, scoring five points and securing a team-best eight rebounds, showing grit against the Falcons' size and speed.
Samuel Jacobs, Charlie Anderson, and Nick Henry each added points, ensuring nine different Saints found the score sheet. Tjay Jones was active defensively, collecting three rebounds, two steals, and a block, while Moore added two assists as he shifted between on-ball and off-ball responsibilities. Though Bowling Green's depth and efficiency created separation, the Saints continued to compete, rotate the roster, and lean into the learning opportunities that a Division I road matchup provides.

Coach's Comments
After the game, Coach Joel Ledvina reflected on the experience:
"Facing a top-tier Division I opponent gives us a real look at where we need to grow, and our guys kept battling. Playing back-to-back days isn't easy, but the team stayed connected and focused. We'll use this as fuel as we shift back into conference play."
