Box Score Palos Heights, IL – Aquinas College men's volleyball bounced back in dominant fashion, sweeping Trinity Christian in three sets to secure a quick victory and improve to 3-4 on the season. After falling 1-3 to Judson the previous night, the Saints responded with a strong all-around performance, controlling the pace from the start to get back in the win column.

Connor Staats kicked off the first set with a powerful kill, followed by a Trolls error to give the Saints a quick 2-0 lead. Kills from Zachary Nosky and Kapelie Moala extended the advantage to 5-2, but Trinity Christian responded with four straight points to briefly take a 7-6 lead. A service error evened the score at 7-7, and from there, both teams battled back and forth. AQ broke away with a four-point surge, fueled by two Moala kills and a service ace from Colin Ilagan, building a 17-13 lead. The Saints maintained control, and Nosky's ace sealed the first set at 25-18.
Trinity Christian struck first in the second set, but Alexander Rodriguez and Nosky answered with kills to put AQ ahead 4-2. The Trolls managed to regain the lead, but a Moala kill stopped their run, tying the score at 5-5. Staats found two kills, while Rodriguez and Moala combined for a crucial block to push AQ ahead 12-10. Julian Fira kept the momentum going with a kill, extending the lead to 16-13. The Saints' offense stayed hot, with Rodriguez, Staats, and Fira delivering key points to make it 21-16. Moala added two more kills, and Rodriguez sealed the set with a final strike for a 25-17 win.
Aquinas kept rolling in the third set, jumping to a 3-1 lead behind kills from Staats and Rodriguez. Nosky and Fira added kills, while Jonathan Collins delivered a service ace to extend the lead to 7-3. The Saints capitalized on Trolls' errors, and a Staats kill gave AQ a dominant 14-8 advantage. Collins and Rodriguez combined for a block to push the score to 15-8. The Saints continued to fire on all cylinders, as Nosky, Dominic Nelson, and Rodriguez secured the final points, clinching the sweep with a 25-17 third-set victory.
