Women's Cross Country NAIA Coaches' Poll - No. 1
Kansas City. Mo. — The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the Women's Cross Country Top 25 Coaches' Poll on Thursday (Sept. 25). The Saints, who were slated 17th in the preseason poll, jumped two spots and are now positioned at No. 15 in the country.
Aquinas opened their season with a second place finish at the Calvin University Diemer Classic. The Saints tallied 37 points and only trailed the host Calvin University Knights in the final results.
The Saints, who are looking to claim their first WHAC title since 2020, finished second in 2024 and find themselves slightly behind one other WHAC school in the Top 25. Cornerstone sits at No. 13 in the current poll.
Coach Wojciakowski added, "I am extremely pleased with where this team is at right now. We had a great opening meet at Calvin and I thought we did an excellent job of competing. We are light years ahead of where we were last year and I'm eager to watch their progression as we continue through schedule."
The Saints will return to action on Sept. 26 as they travel to Adrian, Michigan to compete in the Siena Heights Invitational. The meet will be contested at Heritage Park with the women's start time scheduled for 12:00pm (EST).
