Box Score 2 The women's tennis team won all three of its matches this past weekend to improve its record to 5-2 on the season and extend the winning streak to four matches in a row. The Saints beat Calvin on Friday night and followed it up with wins against Saints Mary's (IN) and Spring Arbor on Saturday.
Following the 6-1 victory over the NCAA DIII Calvin Knights, on Friday, the Saints faced a pair of opponents on Saturday. In their first match, they took down Saint Mary's (IN) by a 4-3 score. Saint Mary's took all three doubles matchups to claim the doubles point. However, the Saints took four of six in singles play to claim the victory. 
Darci TerHaar fell 6-3, 7-6 in #6 singles, and 
Kiara Berry lost a tough 2-6, 6-2, 10-1 decision in #4 singles, but the rest of the Saints claimed victories. 
Vanessa Heylmun won in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 in #5 singles, while 
Bailey Chouinard won 6-4, 6-2 and 
Sofia Gomez was victorious 6-4, 6-0. 
Joska Volder clinched the match victory with her 6-0, 6-1 victory in #1 singles.
Later that afternoon, the Saints took on Spring Arbor and once again were victorious by a 4-3 score. Again the Saints lost the doubles' point, with only the duo of Volder/Gomez able to win, with 6-1 victory in #1 doubles. 
Darci TerHaar (6-1, 6-0) 
Vanessa Heylmun (6-1, 6-1) and 
Joska Volder (6-1, 6-0) all claimed straight set victories, as did 
Sofia Gomez, who clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-1 win in #2 singles. 
The Saints return to the courts on February 29th when they open WHAC play against Indiana Tech.Â
