Nathan Esch Joins AQ Baseball Signing Class

The Aquinas baseball program and head coach Chris LaMange continue to add to its latest recruiting class, as the Saints have signed Nathan Esch. From Fowlerville, Michigan, Esch will begin his AQ career in the fall of 2020.

Esch prepped at Fowlerville High School, where he earned All-District First Team honors as a first baseman after the 2019 season. That same year, the left-handed pitcher helped Fowlerville win a district championship and finish as regional runner-up.

"Nathan is an outstanding student and another multi-sport athlete that we are excited to add to our 2020 recruiting class," explained LaMange. "Pitching is crucial to any team - especially left-handed pitchers - and adding Nathan gives us additional depth on the mound. He has had success in high school, been a key part of winning teams and most importantly Nathan knows how to pitch. We are looking forward to watching him continue his success at the collegiate level."

Having played baseball for 12 years, Esch has also competed for Legacy Select Baseball Club in summer ball. He was a team captain on the Fowlerville football team and received Academic All-State Dream Team honors in 2019.

Esch, who plans to study mathematics at AQ, said of his college choice: "Aquinas just felt like a great fit; it offers a diversified education with optimal size and location and grants me the opportunity to continue my baseball career."
