Results
The women's bowling team traveled to Beavercreek, Ohio this past weekend (Oct. 9-10) to compete in the Orange and Black Classic hosted by Pikeville University. The team came out of the tournament with a team game total of 3,922 pins and a baker game total of 2,457 pins for a combined total of 6,379 pins. That finish was good for 12th place at the event.
Lawrence Tech won the event with a whopping 7,352 pins. Pikeville finished in second with 6,945 pins and Union College came in third with 6,883 pins to round out the top three.
Michelle Thompson was the best individual bowler for the Saints this past weekend, finishing in 19th place out of 169 bowlers. Thompson knocked down 858 pins with an average of 171.6 pins over five games.
Freshman
Dalace Jousma finished the event in 37th place with a pin total of 796. That averaged out to 159.2 pins over the 5 games with a high of 179 pins in her first game.
Narelle Hickmon knocked over 783 pins in five games to average 156.6 pins over five matches. Hickmon had scores of 182 in both games two and three for her best score at the Orange and Black Classic.
Audrey Meader averaged 164.25 pins over the four games that she competed in, totaling 657 pins. Meader's best game was her second game with 169 pins.
Sydney Wetzel competed in two games with a pin total of 317.
Genevieve Soltis also played two games with a pin total of 256.
Morgan Jones and
Nicole Pawloski competed in one game, scoring 138 and 117 respectively.
The Saints women will be back at the bowling alley this upcoming Saturday (Oct. 16) to compete in the Cornerstone University Tournament.
