AQ Women's Bowling Secures Top 5 Finish

Clinton Township, Mich. – The Aquinas Saints women's bowling team displayed their competitive edge at the Great Lakes Open tournament at Imperial Lanes, finishing fifth overall with a total of 5,626 pins. In a field of tough competitors, Aquinas held their own, especially shining in Game one with a team-high 927 pins.

Key highlights included a standout performance by Aquinas in the traditional games, where they consistently posted solid scores, including a 216 by Kayla Van Linden in Game one and a 201 by Carley Blanchard in Game two. These strong efforts placed Aquinas in the top half of the leader board as they transitioned into the Baker rounds.

While Aquinas couldn't close the gap with the top teams during the Baker games, they recorded consistent scores, including a high of 779 in Baker Game one. The Saints' balanced approach and depth across all games highlighted their strength as a team.

Individually, Blanchard led the Saints, finishing 16th with a total of 557 pins, just two pins shy of 15th place. She posted scores of 194, 201, and 162 across her games. Morgan Jones followed as the Saints' second top performer, finishing 25th overall with scores of 192, 169, and 183, totaling 544 pins. Van Linden took a 28th place finish recording a 216, 142, 175 to give her a total of 533.
