Results
The women's bowling team traveled across town today (Oct. 16) to Grandville, Michigan to compete in the Cornerstone University Tournament. The Saints finished the tournament in 10th place out of 15 teams with a team total of 5,639 pins.
Spring Arbor won the tournament with 6,459 pins. Spring arbor was followed by Madonna (6,419 pins), Alma (6,366 pins), Concordia (6,328 pins), and Midway University (6,049 pins) to round out the top five.
Carley Blanchard was the best individual bowler for the Saints, finishing in 16th place out of 138 bowlers. Blanchard knocked over 857 pins for an average of 171.4 pins over five games. She had a high of 189 pins in game three.
Nicole Pawloski scored an 815, good for an average of 163 pins over five games. 815 pins was good for a 26th place tournament finish.
Narelle Hickmon finished the CU Tournament in 40th place after scoring 771 over the five games. Hickmon also had her tournament high game of 189 in the third game.
Audrey Meader averaged 161.25 pins over four games, totaling 645 pins. Her best tournament finish was her second game with 174 pins.
Genevieve Soltis and
Sydney Wetzel each bowled one game, scoring 151 and 134 respectively.
The Saints women will be back to compete at Jax 60 for the WHAC Jamboree #2 on November 6th.
