The AQ women's bowling squad competed in the RU Warrior Fall Classic last Saturday (Sept. 18). Aquinas finished 10th out of 12 teams at the event hosted by Rochester. The AQ women had a team pin total of 5674 pins.
Madonna finished in first at the event with 6537 pins, followed by Spring Arbor JV2 (6237 pins), Concordia (6222 pins), Spring Arbor JV1 (6193 pins), and Concordia (6075 pins) to round out the top five.
Sydney Wetzel was the best individual-finisher for the Saints, finishing in 15th place. Wetzel knocked down 695 pins with a line score of 169-174-155-197.
Michelle Thompson was behind Wetzel in 25th place with 664 pins (187-163-149-165).
Wetzel and Thompson were followed by
Audrey Meader (36th – 532 pins),
Nicole Pawloski (49th – 449 pins),
Carley Blanchard (54th – 372 pins),
Genevieve Soltis (68th – 258 pins),
Morgan Jones (71st – 173 pins), and
Narelle Hickmon (83rd – 123 pins). Meader and Pawloski both competed in three games, while Blanchard and Slotis competed in two games. Both Jones and Hickman competed in one.
Aquinas will return to action on Saturday, October 2nd at the WHAC Jamboree #1, hosted by Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne Indiana. The event will be taking place at the Thunderbowl #1.
