The men's track and field program started off their season by traveling to the Kelly Family Sports Complex in Allendale, Michigan. Here they saw two athletes earn NAIA Provisional Marks that qualify them for the national competition in March.
Adam Bailey was the first Saint to hit a standard when he competed in the 400 meter dash. He won the event with a time of 49.91. With a time of 49.50 Bailey will look to improve his mark to an Automatic Standard.
Collin Pollatz was the second Saint of the day to hit a standard when he competed in the weight throw. He made it to finals and placed eighth in finals with a throw of 16.55m. This throw gives him a provisional qualifier.
Nate White and
Cyrus Prudhomme both made it to finals and finished in third and sixth with times of 6.99 and 7.06.
Isaiah Jackson represented the Saints in the 60 Hurdles with a seventh place finish and a time of 8.54.
In the 800 Run
Ben Hylen took third with a time of 1:58.
Then in the 600 run the Saints went 1-3 with
Caleb Hodgkinson,
Will Westveer, and
Will Finch all performing well.
The men will be back in action January 21, when they host the John Flaminio Classic at home. The first event will begin at 5:00 PM.
