The women's cross country teams got their season underway when they traveled locally to Grand Valley State for the Bob Eubanks Open. The women walked away with three qualifiers at the conclusion of the meet.
Hannah Adler kicked off the weekend of when she ran the mile and finished second with a time of 5:05. This time gives her an automatic qualifier and will send her to Brookings, South Dakota. Then in the pole vault,
Laikyn Kulman hit B Standard with a height of 3.50.
Tarshana Kimbrough was the final one to hit a standard this weekend. She competed in the 60 Hurdles and finished fourth with a time of 9.06.
The Saints dominated in the women's high jump when they finished first, second, and fifth.
Crystal Goyette and
Kaylee Diamond both finished with a height of 5'3". Goyette was awarded the win when she finished with less faults at lower heights.
Casey Lenon then placed fifth when she finished with a height of 5'1"
Then in the 600
Maggie Whitney and
Grace Sweet finished second and fourth. Whitney finished with a time of 1:40 and Sweet finished with a time of 1:44.
The men will be back in action January 21, when they host the John Flaminio Classic at home. The first event will begin at 5:00 PM.
