Rempalski and Furgason Earn All American Honors

Gainesville, Florida - The track & field teams finished up day three at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships with two more All American performances.  Madison Rempalski and Alexis Furgason highlighted the day as the indoor season concluded in the Sunshine State.

Madison Rempalski, who placed fourth, earned her first track All American honor with a record breaking performance in the Mile. The senior from Grand Rapids Northview would cover the 1609 meters in 4:51.17 to shatter the school record. The previous standard was set by Alexis Miller (4:56.64) in 2019. Also finishing in fourth place was Alexis Furgason in the high jump. The senior, making her first national appearance, was clean through her first three heights en route to an All American finish. Her height of 5-6 1/2 tied her personal best.

Maelie Hope also competed for the Saints in the shot put. Hope would place 19th with a toss of 37-8.

The women's team tallied a total of 18.5 points to finish in 17th place at the Championships.

Aquinas will now take a break from competition and start prepping for the outdoor season which begins in few weeks.
