Hillsdale, Michigan - The women's track and field team continued their spring season with the Hillsdale Mid Week Multi contested over the last two days at Hillsdale College. Lindsey Strutz made her outdoor debut in her specialty event and ended the afternoon with the victory in the heptathlon and a pair of new school records.

Lindsey tallied 4,860 points over the two days of competition to establish the new standard in that event for Aquinas College. The total points was a lifetime best and 320 points better than the Aquinas school record that she set last April. Strutz was very solid in day one as she competed in the 100 hurdles, high jump, shot put and 200 meters. The success continued on day two with big scores in the long jump, javelin, and the 800 meters. Her mark of 129-11 in the the javelin is also an Aquinas College school record . Lindsey's point total ranks her 1st in the NAIA by 73 points.

Lindsey has earned some much needed rest, but the rest of the Saints will be in action this weekend at the Al and Sue Owens Classic.  Competition at GVSU will start at Noon on Friday and continue on into Saturday.
