Men's Cross Country Places 18th at Highly Competitive Greater Louisville Classic

Louisville, Kentucky - The men's cross country team was back in action this weekend when they made the trek down to Kentucky. The Saints competed in the highly competitive Greater Louisville Classic where they placed 18th out of 45 teams in their race.
 
Winning the Men's 8K CC Blue Race was the Grand Valley State Lakers with a score of 190 points compared to Aquinas' 479. The men competed against 45 other teams and had an average team time of 25:38.
 
Racing side by side and finishing within one second of one another was Ben Hardy and Connor Clemens. Hardy was first across the line for the Saints with a time of 25:27 placing 70th. Then, Clemens was 75th with a time of 25:28. Right behind the duo was Matthew Schieber with a time of 25:32 finishing 82nd.
 
Rounding out the top-five was Andrew Ireland with a time of 25:45 (120th) and Ethan Barker going 26:00 (140th). Then Ben Peterson and Caleb Hodgkinson came across the line at 26:27 and 26:28 placing them 193rd and 195th.
 
The men will take two weeks away from racing before they compete again at the MCC Jayhawk Invitational. The race will take place in Muskegon, Michigan with the race scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM.
