The men's cross country team made the trek down to Tallahassee, Florida for the finale of their 2022 season, the NAIA National Championship. The Saints took 20th out of the 36 teams competing at the national race.

AQ finished with a total of 504 points in the contest. Winning the race was Dordt with 97 points. Last year's champion, Milligan was the runner-up with 115 points. The Master's (151), Indiana Wesleyan (208) and St. Francis (Ill.) (208) made up the top five.

Matthew Schieber was the Saints #1 today, finishing with a time of 25:27. By continuing to move up in the contest, he placed 93rd overall.
Connor Callahan was hot on his heels with a time of 25:33 and placed107th. Then, despite strategically running the race differently from one another,
Ethan Barker,
Caleb Hodgkinson, and
Andrew Ireland ran within a second of one another. Barker was first out of the group with a time of 25:53.2, placing 144th. He edged out Hodgkinson by only a tenth of second. Hodgkinson placed 145th in the race. Ireland was AQ's final scorer and his time of 25:54 placed him 147th.

Ben Hardy came through sixth for the Saints in 205th place. The clock read 26:25 as he crossed the finish line.
Connor Clemens was the final member of Saints team racing today. He finished with a time of 27:03 to place 262nd respectfully.

The Saints will take some time off before getting ready for the indoor track and field season. The first meet takes place on December 16 at the Maroon vs. Gray vs. Alumni meet.
