The women's track and field program was at home for the first day of the WHAC Indoor Conference Championships. The Saints sit in third place currently and have one WHAC Champion at the end of day one.
 
Leading the way at the end of day one is Indiana Tech with a score of 72.5 points. In second place are the Cornerstone Golden Eagles with 65.5 points. Then in third, come the Saints with 40 points. Close behind them are the Saints from Siena Heights with 34 points. Madonna, Concordia, and Rochester round out the field.
 
The first final to finish today was the 4x800. The team of Hannah Adler, Maggie Whitney, Grace Sweet, and Emily McManus. Despite competing well with the Indiana Tech Warriors throughout the race, the Saints fell in the final leg of the race. But with a time of 9:47, the Saints went fast enough on the 200 meter track, to earn a provisional qualifier.
 
In the women's high jump, Crystal Goyette was the highest finisher for the Saints, when she finished third with a jump of 1.60 meters.

Then in the 60m dash Casey Lenon finished ninth narrowly missing finals by .03.
 
In the 60m hurdles, Tarshana Kimbrough and Theresa Judd qualified for finals that will take place on Saturday. Kimbrough's prelim time of 9.06 tied a personal best in the event and matched her previous qualifying mark. 
 
Then in the women's long jump, Shanna Han contributed three points to the Saints total score when she finished sixth with a jump of 5.00 meters.
 
Competition will pick up again tomorrow with a slight change in events. The women's weight throw will kick off the day at 11:00 AM due to an injury suffered by one of the athletes in warm ups. The rest of the events will begin at 1:00 PM tomorrow as scheduled.
