The men's track and field team was at home this weekend when they hosted the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame Meet. The meet consisted of six local teams located in the greater Grand Rapids Area.

The Aquinas men won the meet by half a point. The Saints scored 136.5 points and defeated the second place Cornerstone Golden Eagles.

The men got started off with the 4x8 with
Will Westveer,
Will Finch,
Zander Masten, and
Caleb Hodgkinson. The four of them finished with a time of 8:00.9, less than a second away from a provisional qualifier.

Then in the men's high jump
Jacob Dawson won the event with a jump of 1.86 meters. Also in the event
Tyler Netke and
Blake Whetstone finished with jumps of 1.81 and 1.71 meters respectfully.

Continuing with the field events,
Collin Pollatz finished third in the shot put with a throw of 14.13 meters. Pollatz then better his mark in weight throw with a 17.07.

The men then took care of business in the 5K, when they finished first and third.
Matthew Schieber won the race with a time of 15:43 and Callahan finished with a time of 16:02.

Final highlights include
Cyrus Prudhomme winning the 200 with a 22.51,
Clayton Jones winning the 1K with a time of 2:36,
Mason King winning the Pole Vault at 3.6 meters and
Connor Clemens winning the mile in 4:33.

The Saints will then be back in action next weekend when compete in two different meets next weekend. The Saints will be at home Friday, February 11, for the WHAC vs. MIAA Challenge, and also be at Grand Valley Friday and Saturday for Big Meet.
