The women's track and field team was at home this weekend when they hosted the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame Meet. The meet consisted of six local teams located in the greater Grand Rapids Area and had many highlights.

Aquinas won the meet with a score of 149 points. They nearly edged out local rival, the Cornerstone Golden Eagles who scored 148.
In the 1K, the trio of
Maggie Whitney,
Hannah Adler, and
Grace Sweet moved as a dominant force to claim the top three spots. The finished with times of 3:02, 3:03, and 3.09. Adler was unable to better her previous mark in the K, but Whitney walked away with a new provisional qualifier.

In the pole vault,
Laikyn Kulman finished second with a vault of 3.62m.
Shaily Baynes also scored in the event with a mark of 3.27m

In the high jump
Casey Lenon, won the event with a 1.65 meter jump. This mark gets her a provisional qualifier in the event.

The women that started competition for the Saints were
Megan Gough and
Hanna Grant when they competed in the 5,000. The pair went first and second with times of 18:47 and 18:57.

In the 60 Hurdles, the Saints went one and two when
Theresa Judd and
Shanna Han finished with times of 9.46 and 9.71. This time earns Han a new previous best. Then, in the long jump
Shanna Han took second with a jump of 4.88m.  Finally, in the shotput,
Rebecca Beltran placed fifth with a throw of 11.78.Â

The Saints will then be back in action next weekend when compete in two different meets next weekend. The Saints will be at home Friday, February 11, for the WHAC vs. MIAA Challenge, and also be at Grand Valley Friday and Saturday for Big Meet.
