The women's bowling team traveled to Jackson, Michigan this morning (Feb. 5) to compete in the fourth and final WHAC jamboree. Aquinas finished seventh of ten teams with a total score of 5,601 pins. Madonna won the competition with a score of 6,634 pins. Lawrence Tech came in second with a score of 6,452 pins and Indiana Tech came in third place with a score of 6,332 pins.
Michelle Thompson was the best bowler for the Saints today with a total score of 678 pins over four games, good for 27th place individually. Her average of 169.5 pins per game was helped by her fourth game with a score of 178.
Carley Blanchard finished right behind Thompson in 28th place with a score of 677 pins. Her average of 169.25 pins over four games was bolstered by her best game of 175 pins in her fourth game.
Narelle Hickmon finished in 41st place with 620 pins. Her first game was her best with 190 pins, helping boost her average to 155 pins over four games.
Audrey Meader placed in 42nd with a score of 607 pins. Her best game was also her first with a score of 167, helping her average of 151.75 pins per game over her four games.
Morgan Jones played three games, scoring 518 total pins. She had an impressive personal-best 213 pins in the fourth game, getting her average to 172.67 over three games.
Genevieve Soltis played one game, scoring 146 pins in the second game.
The Saints women compete again next weekend for the Scotty Classic at Jax 60 in Jackson, Michigan. The event is set to start at 8:00 AM.
