The men's and women's track and field teams geared up for their third and final day of the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships. The Saints found a way to up the ante from their previous day of competition by recording six All-American awards and one national champion.

The biggest highlight of the day came from senior
Maggie Whitney when she competed in the 800m. Coming into the finals with the fastest time in the prelims (2:15), she looked for a strong performance in the event. In the final stretch, Whitney passed two women to win the 800m with a time of 2:13.09. She finished less than a half a second ahead of second place. Her time moved her to #2 all time in Aquinas history. She is the first women to win an indoor track event since Adri Sigafoose won the same event in 2018 in Pittsburg, Kansas. Â

Later in the day, Whitney ran the 1200m leg in the women's distance medley relay. Joining her in the relay was
Tarshana Kimbrough (400m),
Grace Sweet (800m), and
Hannah Adler (1600m). The Saints finished eighth in the event with a time of 12:39. This is the seventh time in school history, the women's DMR has finished as All-Americans.

Before her leg in the DMR,
Hannah Adler finished in the 3000m final All-American position with a time of 10:10. She was able to hold off the next finisher by a margin of two seconds to snag the last scoring spot.Â

Then on the men's side,
Caleb Hodgkinson earned his second All-American honor of his career in the indoor 800m. He finished seventh with a time of 1:53.94. This new PR moves him up to #5 all time at AQ in the event.

On the field,
Casey Lenon and
Crystal Goyette both cleared opening height at 5-03 in the high jump and finished in tenth and 13th, respectively.Â

Winning the men's title was Oklahoma City with 62 points and behind them was Indiana Tech with 59 points. The men finished in 53
rd with two points.

Then for the women, Aquinas finished tenth with 20 points. Winning for the women was Indiana Tech with 127 points and William Carey finished second with 55 points.
The men and women will now take some time off before looking ahead to outdoor track and field.Â
