The men's track and field team traveled down to Louisville, Kentucky for the Jim Vargo Invitational this weekend. The Saints had one athlete hit a standard this weekend.

The Saints lone qualifier this weekend came from
Ben Hardy in the Steeplechase. His time of 9:31 was a 54 second PR and earned him a provisional qualifier. Hardy place third in the competitive race.

The 800 saw four Saints in action and all four went below two minutes in the event.
Zander Masten was the first in with a time of 1:56 and taking third. Behind him was
Caleb Hodgkinson and
Will Finch placing fifth and sixth.
Will Westveer was the final member in for Aquinas with a time of 1:57 and placing ninth.
In the 10,000, four Saints saw massive personal bests.
Edward Frey was the first Saint across the line placing 16th with a time of 32:37. Then
Ben Peterson and
Andrew Ireland came across the line within three seconds of one another at 32:51 and 32:54. Matt Schieber was the final Saint in, placing 26th with a time of 33:02.Â

In the 5K
Clayton Jones finished fourth with a time of 15:08.
Connor Clemens was also in the race and finished with a time of 15:45. Jones was also in the 1500 on Saturday in which he won the event with a time of 4:01. He was joined in the race by a slew of teammates including: Finch, Hodgkinson, Masten, Hardy,

Will Westveer,
Mike Ciaravino, Clemens, Rob Koosterman,
Jonah Maichele,
Ethan Barker,
Liam Kelly, and
Ken Wojcik.

Like the women, sprinters, hurdlers, and jumpers will head down to Indiana Tech on Monday, April 11, in hopes of warmer temperatures and better quality performances.
