Benton Harbor, Mich. — The Aquinas women's golf team this past Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 16-17) was at the Harbor Shores Golf Club for the Harbor Shores Intercollegiate. Each golfer completed two full rounds on the course. After the second play though the totals were calculated and results were finalized. Aquinas shot 360 on Monday and 369 on Tuesday stamping themselves as third place overall with a team score of 729.
Junior
Emma Franklin shot 89 and 90, totaling a 179.
Senior
Brooke Kalisz was just a single stroke behind with an 89 and a 91, cementing her with a 180.
Freshman
Jayda Kerns drove home a 99 and 91, evening out her score with a 190.

Grace Berenbrock completed her rounds with 102 and 99, hitting 201.

Zoey Quinn shot best for the Saints on Day 1 with an 83, the next day would not be as forgiving with a 97. Quinn would tally a 180 which tied her with teammate Kalisz.

John Konya made these comments after the first day of competition, "It's certainly a tough test of golf, with a solid field... I'm really happy for Zoey. She's been steadily working her way into the lineup, and she showed today, that she's a very talented player, who works hard on her game... I'm really proud of our girls today. This is a tremendous place to finish our fall season. The girls are showing how much we've grown as a team, since August, and I'm really happy for them!"
The Saints concluded their fall season with the third place finish. The team will be back in action in the spring. Stay tuned for those details as they are yet to be finalized.
