Defiance, Ohio – The Saints traveled to face the Yellow Jackets of Defiance in a crucial conference matchup and delivered an impressive performance. Their commanding victory not only showcased their growing momentum but also extended their win streak to five games. With this win, the Saints improved their overall record to 7-5, including an impressive 5-1 mark in conference play, solidifying their position as a strong contender in the standings.

The Saints burst out to a quick 7-0 lead, fueled by jump shots from Emily Cime and Isabel Reemsnyder, along with a three-pointer by Clair Gregwer. The Yellow Jackets responded with a 9-0 run to claim the lead, but Gregwer's jumper evened the score at 9-9. Paige Guernsey followed up with a layup, and Gregwer capped the quarter with another three-pointer, giving AQ a 14-9 edge.

Gregwer and Guernsey teamed up for five points, followed by a layup from Rhema Dozier to extend the lead to 21-12. Guernsey then converted two free throws, and Gregwer nailed back-to-back jumpers to push the score to 27-16. Reemsnyder closed out the first half with a three-pointer, sending the Saints into the break with a commanding 30-16 lead.

Reemsnyder contributed five points early in the third quarter, extending Aquinas' lead to 35-16. The Saints then strung together a seven-point run to widen the gap to 46-21. Cline added a free throw, and Leah French followed with a layup, pushing AQ's lead to 49-24. Ashlyn Wilkes kept the momentum going, helping the Saints maintain a commanding 25-point advantage at 51-26. Brynn Reems closed out the quarter by sinking both free throws, giving Aquinas a decisive 53-26 lead heading into the final period.

Reemsnyder opened the fourth quarter with a three-pointer, extending the Saints' lead to 56-26 over Defiance. The Yellow Jackets responded with a brief four-point run, but a clutch three-pointer from Reems shifted the momentum back to AQ, pushing the score to 59-30. Emma Picarazzi joined the action, sinking a three-pointer, followed by another long-range shot from Emilynne Braue, widening the gap to 68-34. Kenzie Burt added the final point for the Saints, sealing an impressive 70-39 victory.
