Grand Rapids, Michigan - The men's track and field collected four first place finishes at the WHAC vs. MIAA Challenge, while the 42 year-old 5,000 meter record was broken at GVSU earlier in the day.
Ethan Barker clocked a 14:42.71 in the 5000 in Allendale this afternoon to eclipse the previous mark held since 1982. Brian Lehmkuhle's record run of 14:42.74 had been the benchmark for all Saints distance runners for the past 42 years. Barker's time has him leading the WHAC and he is currently ranked 11th on the NAIA Indoor Performance List in the 5000 meters.
Caleb Hodgkinson improved on his "A" mark in the 800 meters at GVSU as he clocked a 1:53.51. Hodgkinson is currenlty 14th in the NAIA in the 800 meters.

Keiton Fase won the 200 meters in a time of 22.51, while
Jake Van Tassell won the 600 meters in 1:25.20. Aquinas also received wins from
Jake Rottier in the 1000 meters (2:44.53) and
Jalen Radke in the long jump (22-5).
The Saints will now prep for next weekend when Aquinas will host the WHAC Indoor Championships on Friday and Saturday afternoon.
