Box Score Lima, Ohio — The Aquinas men's soccer team battled through a tough contest on Saturday afternoon (Sep. 27) but came up short against UNOH, falling 0-4. With the result, Aquinas moves to 1-5-1 on the year and 0-3-0 in WHAC play.
The Racers jumped ahead early, capitalizing on pressure in the first half with three goals, all coming from Nana Michel Tentchou, who recorded a hat trick before halftime. Aquinas goalkeeper Peyton Huffman was tested early and kept the Saints in the match with three saves in the opening period, but UNOH entered the break leading 3–0.
In the second half, junior goalkeeper Ivan Radovic took over in net and made two saves to steady the Saints' backline. Despite his efforts, the Racers added a fourth goal in the 49th minute through Corey Brouard to put the game out of reach.
The Saints worked to find chances of their own, tallying three shots, including on-frame attempts from Fikret Hasovic and Austin Tucker. Aquinas also earned a pair of corners late in each half, with Gerardo Jose Montanez serving dangerous balls into the box, but UNOH's defense preserved the shutout.
Head Coach Luke Ruff stated, "We were outplayed today by a stronger team. It's been a tough start to the season with injuries, but we're hopeful to have everyone back this coming week and push to turn things around."
