Box Score Grand Rapids, Mich. – The Aquinas women's basketball team secured a 64–46 victory over Lawrence Tech on Wednesday night, using a strong opening quarter and steady defensive effort to control the pace throughout the contest. The Saints built an early advantage behind a fast paced offense and consistent pressure on both ends of the floor, allowing Aquinas to create separation early and close out the win down the stretch.

The Blue Devils struck first with a three-pointer, but Aquinas responded immediately as Isabel Reemsnyder, Paige Guernsey, and Rhema Dozier each converted layups to swing the lead, 6–3. Both teams settled into a defensive battle early, with Aquinas held scoreless for over two minutes until Emily Cline broke through with a pair of free throws. Cline capped the quarter with a fast-break layup to give the Saints a 10–6 edge.
Lawrence Tech opened the second quarter on a 5–0 run to briefly take an 11–10 lead, but Guernsey answered with a layup and completed the three-point play at the line. Back-to-back layups from Cline followed by a three from Hope Kanouse pushed the Saints' lead into double digits. Guernsey added another layup late in the quarter, and Dozier finished the half with a drive to the basket as Aquinas carried a 30–19 advantage into the break.
Dozier opened the second half with a three-pointer, setting the tone for the Saints. Brynn Reams scored inside before Cline added another layup to continue the momentum. Reemsnyder connected from beyond the arc, and Guernsey closed the third quarter at the free-throw line as Aquinas extended its lead to 50–31.
Guernsey opened the fourth quarter with two more free throws to stretch the lead to 18. After a brief Lawrence Tech surge, Cline halted the run with a layup. Aquinas closed the game on an 8–0 run, highlighted by four points apiece from Reemsnyder and Guernsey, before sealing the 64–46 victory.
