Grand Rapids, Michigan - Luis Vasquez, the son of Ida Garza and Luis Vasquez, has signed his national letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Aquinas College. Vasquez, who recently graduated from Fennville High School, became the eighth signee of the 2025-26 recruiting class for the Aquinas College men's cross country and track & field programs.
Vasquez simply stated, "I chose Aquinas because I know the people there will push me to be a better athlete and student."
Luis, who also enjoys working out, being in nature, and the sport of wrestling, has posted personal bests that include 20:12 on the cross course and 59.7 (400 meters) on the track. Â
Luis has four siblings named Angel, Ira, Ramon and Hunter and he plans on majoring in Accounting at Aquinas College.
Aquinas head coach Mike Wojciakowski commented, "We are glad that Luis has elected to continue his academic and athletic pursuits at Aquinas College. I look forward to working with Luis and watching him develop as a collegiate athlete."
