The Saints men's track and field team began competition at the SVSU Jets Pizza Invitational on Friday.

The Distance Medley Relay (DMR) team of
Gannon Foley,
Adam Bailey,
Matt MacGregor and
Grayson Harding finished in 10:14.89 to hit an "A" standard and qualify for March's NAIA National Championships in Brookings, South Dakota. The time was second at the meet and was only .55 seconds behind first-place Indiana Wesleyan.
The "B" DMR team of
Ben Hylen,
Josh Young,
Robert Morse and
Jacob Fair finished fourth with a time of 10:40.01 and the "C" DMR team of
Connor McGee,
Dylan Lame,
Tristan Milarch and
Clayton Jones was fifth with a time of 10:40.54.Â

Evan Pugh came in fourth place in the weight throw with a mark of 15.99 meters.
Aaron Whaley placed sixth and
Collin Pollatz was seventh with marks of 15.11 meters and 15.05 meters respectively.

Zach Flint was tied for fourth place in the pole vault with a mark of 4.50 meters.

Isaiah Jackson came in sixth place in the preliminary 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.61 meters to qualify for the finals.
Elijah Ealy also qualified for the finals with an eighth place preliminary time of 9.44 seconds.Â

Aquinas competes at day two of the SVSU Jets Pizza Invitational tomorrow (Jan. 25) beginning at 11:00 AM.
