The #13-ranked AQ women's track and field team hosted the AQ Quad Meet first of four consecutive home meets on Friday (Jan. 31). The meet was held at the Alksnis Athletic Building.

Payton Klein won the high jump as four Saints finished in the top-five with a school-record "A" standard mark of 1.68 meters.
Crystal Goyette was second with a jump of 1.60 meters.
Bridget Kohane and
Hannah Hayes were fourth and fifth with marks of 1.55 meters and 1.50 meters.

Victoria Faber matched her nationwide NAIA-best height of 3.82 meters in the pole vault to claim a victory.
Laikyn Kulman and
Kennedy Pollington placed second and third place with respective marks of 3.27 meters and 2.67 meters. Â

Tyra Hunter improved her "A" standard mark in the 60 meter hurdles with a final round, personal time of 8.87 seconds to win the event. Her preliminary round time was 9.10 seconds.
Tarshana Kimbrough finished third with a time of 9.49 seconds (9.73 preliminary time).
The 4x800 meter relay team of
Maggie Whitney,
Caroline Jones, Taylor and Adgate placed second with a time of 9:38.52 to hit an "A" standard.

Bailey Ballard was victorious in the weight throw with a "B" standard toss of 16.16 meters. She was over two meters ahead of her closest competitor Bailey Hoffman of Alma who had a mark of 13.98 meters.

Eunice Eyamba and
Rose Russo were the top two finishers in the 60 meter dash with times of 7.83 seconds and 7.93 seconds respectively. Eyamba's preliminary time was 7.91 seconds and Russo's was 8.06 seconds.

Whitney Taylor and
Tannah Adgate finished #1 and #2 in the 1000 meters with finishing times of 3:05.55 and 3:05.56. The slim margin between the two runners made for a photo finish.

The top-five runners in the 600 meters all came from AQ.
Taylor Ward won the event with a time of 1:44.20 while
Maggie Whitney (1:47.24),
Caroline Jones (1:47.49),
Brianna Adams (1:50.50) and
Eva Chmielewski (1:51.18) rounded out the top-five.

Nicole Diekema and
Casey Lenon placed first and second respectively in the 400 meters with a time of 1:02.41 and 1:02.42. This was another race that ended in a photo finish.

Shanna Han won the long jump with a mark of 5.36 meters.

Rebecca Beltran came in first place in the shot put with a mark of 12.54 meters. She is #5 in AQ history.Â

The "A" 4x400 meter relay team finished in 4:10.05 to claim a victory. The "B" placed fourth with a time of 4:21.19. Kimbrough, Lenon, Diekema and Ward were on the "A" while
Mary Armour, Eyamba, Russo and Kulman made up the "B" team.

Emily McManus placed third in the mile with a time of 5:30.14.

AQ is home again next Friday (Feb. 7) when the team hosts the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame Classic at 5:00 PM in the Alksnis Athletic Building.
