GVSU Results    WHAC Results

The Saints women's track and field team competed at multiple meets on Friday (Feb. 14). The squad was in events at day one of the GVSU Big Meet in Allendale, Michigan and hosted the WHAC vs. MIAA Challenge in the Alksnis Athletic Building.
 
At the GVSU Big Meet, Victoria Faber hit a mark of 3.83 meters (12' 6 3/4") in the pole vault to finish tied for fourth in premiere competition.
 
Tannah Adgate finished with a time of 5:09.10 in the mile to achieve an "A" standard.

The 4x400 meter relay team of Tarshana Kimbrough, Casey Lenon, Rose Russo and Jakarri Alven finished in 3:54.98 to hit an "A" standard. Alven had a time of 25.82 seconds in the 200 meters as well. 

At the WHAC vs. MIAA Challenge, the Saints placed second with 212 points. The WHAC defeated the MIAA by a 407.5 to 281.5 margin. Siena Heights, Albion, Alma, and Calvin competed in addition to AQ.
 
Tyra Hunter won in the 60 meter hurdles improving her A standard time to 8.85 seconds, this is #5 in AQ history. She had a preliminary time of 9.00 seconds. Grace Meachum (9.71 seconds) and Shanna Han (10.10 seconds) were fourth and fifth.
 
Hannah Hamilton finished in first place in the mile with a time of 5:37.26. Ada Shaw came in third place with a finishing time of 5:46.38.
 
Eunice Eyamba was the winner in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.89 seconds. Her preliminary time 7.92 seconds. Eyamba also placed third in the 200 meters with a finishing time of 26.39 seconds.
 
Whitney Taylor won the 1000 meters with a time of 3:04.04. She is very close to a "B" standard time in the event.
 
Crystal Goyette won the high jump with a mark of 1.60 meters. Bridget Kohane placed second with the same rounded-up mark as Goyette.
 
Bailey Ballard had a throw of 16.08 meters to finish second in the weight throw with a second "B" standard mark of the season.
 
Laikyn Kulman matched her "A" standard height in the pole vault with a second place mark of 3.52 meters. Kennedy Pollington had a height of 2.97 meters.
 
Maggie Whitney and Caroline Jones came in first and second place in the 800 meters with respective times of 2:27.93 and 2:28.72. Hannah Adler (2:30.98) and Eva Chmielewski (2:32.36) finished fourth.
 
Brianna Adams (1:50.86), Adeline Cichon (1:55.92) and Autumn Fedorowicz (2:06.11) finished second, third and fourth in the 600 meters.
 
Rebecca Beltran was third in the shot put with a distance of 12.03 meters.
 
Four Saints were top five finishers in the 3000 meters. Emily McManus came in second place crossing the line in 11:00.48. Gabby Brandonisio (11:01.83), Hanna Grant (11:05.80) and Alyssa Schwartz (11:17.26) rounded out the top five in third, fourth and fifth place.
 
Meachum finished third in the long jump as an unattached competitor with a mark of 5.31 meters. Han came in fourth with a height of 5.17 meters.
 
The 4x400 meter "A" team of Hannah Adler, Amanda Maurer, Adams and Chmielewski placed second with a time of 4:34.42. The "B" team of Adeline Cichon, Autumn Fedorowicz, Antel and Hamilton finished in 4:43.20 to place third.
