The AQ men ended the indoor season on Saturday (Mar. 7) in Brookings, South Dakota at day three of the NAIA Indoor Championships. The team competed in five national final events.

Aquinas came in eighth place as a team with 26 points and was the second highest ranked WHAC team behind third-place Indiana Tech (48.66 points). The team's finish is tied for the best in program history, the team also finished eighth in 2013. William Carey won the National Championship with 82 points. Eight Saints athletes in six different events earned All-American accolades. This result is a vast improvement from last year's finish at Nationals for AQ.

Grayson Harding earned three All-American accolades while
Matt MacGregor and
Gannon Foley both had a pair.

Harding is the national runner-up in the 1000 meters crossing the line in 2:28.81. The Great Lakes Regional Runner of the Year is an All-American and was less than a second short of winning a national championship. He nearly matched his own school record time of 2:28.24 Moses Dirane of Montreat won the national title with a time of 2:27.95.

Foley finished fifth in the mile final to achieve All-American status with a time of 4:12.62. It is his best time of time of the season beating out his preliminary time on Friday of 4:16.32. He is now #3 on the AQ all-time list.

MacGregor is an All-American in the 800 meters with a seventh-place time of 1:55.80. His preliminary time on Friday was a season-best of 1:55.30.

The Distance Medley Relay (DMR) team of Harding, Foley,
Adam Bailey,
Caleb Hodgkinson finished with All-American honors with a sixth place time of 10:14.55. The team had a preliminary time of 10:11.87.

Aaron Whaley is an All-American in the shot put finals with a mark of 16.07 meters (52-08 3/4). He placed eighth overall and improved his #2 mark in AQ history.

The 4x800 meter relay team of
Connor McGee,
Robert Morse, MacGregor and Harding was the national runner-up and achieved All-American status on Friday.

The Saints look forward to the outdoor season beginning on April 3rd and 4th at the Spartan Invitational in East Lansing, Michigan.
