We recently started a new series called "Getting AQuainted With…" as a way for our fans to get to know our Aquinas head coaches on a few professional topics and through some more light-hearted questions.
Name: Mike Wojciakowski
Hometown: Grand Rapids, Michigan
Alma Mater / Year / Major: Aquinas College / 1997 / Sports Management & Business Administration
What is your favorite thing about being a head coach at Aquinas? Hands down working with the student-athletes of Aquinas College. In my 22 years of coaching I have had the pleasure to work with an amazing and talented group of Saints!
What is your top memory from your time at AQ? Let's see, it would be virtually impossible to pick one event. I have been blessed to be associated with a phenomenal program. National champions, All-Americans, WHAC Championships have been nice and well deserved by our student-athletes. But I believe my top memory or memories would be the day-to-day stuff: practice, competitions, bus/van trips, team meals, building life-long friendships, etc.

If you could go on vacation anywhere and price was not a factor, where would you go? A tour of Europe
What would you be if you weren't a coach? My wife, kids, and I would open a Polish Delicatessen and Bakery on Bridge Street. We also would serve dine-in or takeout breakfast and lunch. Imagine walking down Bridge St for lunch and stopping in for a Krakow ham sandwich on rye, some potato pancakes and a side of beet soup. On your way out the door, grab a dozen kruschiki to take home to the family or back to the office...We also will sell imported grocery items from Poland...
