Results
The women's cross country team brought their season to an end today at the NAIA National Championships in Tallahassee, Florida. At the conclusion of the 5K race, the Saints placed 16th out of 36 teams and walked away with not one, but two All-Americans.
AQ finished the race with 438 points, which placed them 16th. Taylor won the national race with only 50 points. Milligan (177 points), College of Idaho (201), St. Francis of Illinois (203), and Cornerstone (211) rounded out the top five.
The first member of the Saints to cross the line for AQ was fifth year runner,
Hannah Adler. Adler. With a time of 17:49, Adler placed 19th overall and earned herself All-American honors. Joining her on the All-American stage, was teammate
Maggie Whitney. Whitney remained in the top 40 all race long, finishing 38th. She ran a time of 18:10 in the race.
Next across the line for AQ, was freshman
Molly Harding. Harding maintained her place throughout the race with a 131st place. The clock read 19:14 as she crossed the line. She was followed closely by
Hanna Grant with a time of 19:18. She placed 143rd in the race.
Kaitlyn Thomas was fifth across the line for the Saints, placing 172nd. Her time of 19:53 earned her the position.
Hannah Stitt was sixth across the line and moved up throughout the race to place 235th with a time of 19:58.
Mallory Bowker was the final Saint across the line for AQ with a time of 20:31. She placed 277th respectively.
The Saints will take some time off before gearing up for the indoor track and field season. The first meet takes place on December 16 at the Maroon vs. Gray vs. Alumni meet.
