The Aquinas men's and women's outdoor track & field teams were wildly successful at the 2022 WHAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships with two second place finishes on May 5-6. With the high placements came a lot of postseason awards as 28 athletes were named to the All-WHAC Teams.
Those that won their event were named to the first team, while second place finishers were named to the second team and third place finishers were honorable mentions.
Beginning with the men, those that were all named to the All-WHAC First Team were:
Ben Hardy - 3000m steeplechase
Collin Pollatz - hammer throw
Will Finch,
Caleb Hodgkinson,
Zander Masten, and
Will Westveer - 4x800m relay
The second team finishers were:
Connor Callahan - 3000m steeplechase

Koster was the one male who was able to grab an automatic qualifying bid to the nationals meet after throwing 57.90m in the javelin for the 'A' standard. The 4x800m relay team also provisionally qualified for nationals after running a 7:44.80 and needs to shave off the .80 for an 'A'Â standard time.
Aquinas finished with 15 men's track & field student-athletes on the WHAC All-Academic Team, which are juniors or above in academic standing with a cumulative 3.25 grade point average and have been at AQ for at least one full year. Aquinas' All-Academic honorees are: Â

Jumping a 3.95m in the pole vault was Faber, who set a new WHAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships record. That is 0.02 off her personal best this season, which is the second best jump in the NAIA. Kimbrough grabbed her first automatic qualifier of the outdoor season in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:03.15. The 4x400m relay team also provisionally qualified for the national meet after running a 3:56.57, needing a 3:55.00 for an 'A' standard. Whitney finished with three second team selections after having a busy weekend for the Saints.
