Allendale, Michigan -  The men's track and field team lifted the lid on a new season at the annual GVSU Holiday Open on Friday. The Saints efforts were headlined by the personal best performances of Ryan McGuire and Brian Langlois.

 McGuire, a transfer from Alma College, made the most of his Aquinas debut as he set a personal best of 52-5 1/4 in the weight throw. His toss placed him 11th out of 31 competitors and currently has him ranked third in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. Brian Langlois would also set a lifetime best in the 5000 meters. His time of 15:10.74 placed him sixth in his heat and has him seeded second on the WHAC Indoor 5000 meters performance list.

Aquinas will return to action after the Christmas holiday to compete in the John Flaminio Classic on January 16th.
