Allendale, Michigan - This afternoon the Aquinas Saints were in action for the first of two last chance qualifier meets at the GVSU Tuesday Last Chance Meet. The Saints had seven athletes that competed in nine events.

Shanna Han was the only athlete to compete in the Triple Jump and finished with a best jump of 10.95 meters. She bettered her 5th place mark in AQ history with this mark. She would then win the long jump on her fourth attempt, jumping 5.11 meters.

In the throws,
Kaydence Richardson recorded a large personal record in the hammer throw reaching 46.71 meters. Then in other throwing events,
Rebecca Beltran threw for 40.65 meters in the discus and 12.62 meters in the shot put to take second. The javelin also hosted a Saint in
Emily Jones as she threw the jav 33.99 meters.

The final woman to compete was
Shaily Baynes in the pole vault. She took 13th behind a vault of 3.51 meters.

In the men's discus,
John Van Til represented AQ, and threw for 43.69 meters. The only other male to compete today was
Christian Martinez-Ramos. In the 1500 M Run, he crossed the line at 4:21, placing 12th.

AQ has one more meet before the NAIA Outdoor Championship. The St. Francis Fighting Chance Meet takes place on Friday, May 12 and continues to the 13th.
