Marion, Indiana -Â A pair of Aquinas Saints captured All-America accolades on Friday's final day of competition at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships in Marion, Ind.Â

Former national champion
Maggie Whitney – who won the indoor 800 meter title in March 2022 – earned All-America honors on Friday in the outdoor competition. After placing eighth in the prelims on Thursday with a time of 2:12.55, Whitney improved to a 2:11.12 in Friday's finals. She finished in sixth place to garner All-America status with a top-eight placement.

Ben Hardy did the same by finishing in the top-eight of the steeplechase. His time of 9:14.64 was also good for sixth place and a new PR for Hardy. It is the fourth-fastest time in Aquinas history in the event.

Not far behind Hardy and just out of the All-America cutoff was
Connor Callahan. With a time of 9:22.92, Callahan placed ninth overall, just missing out on All-America status.

After earning All-America distinction on Wednesday by placing eighth in the 10,000 meters,
Hannah Adler finished 13th in the 5,000 meter run on Friday in a time of 17:57.09.

Kaylee Diamond participated in the high jump and tied for 12th place. She was able to clear 1.60 meters and tied with five other competitors.

In the team standings, the AQ women tied for 47th place with four points this week. The Saints  men scored three points and tied for 64th place.Â
